Shane Sullivan, CPM

President and Principal Broker of Crestline Realty Corporation, Shane Sullivan is a 1985 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. He majored in Economics, with a minor in Psychology. Following his graduation he served in the United States Navy as an officer aboard the USS Edward McDonnell and he earned the Navy Achievement Medal and his designation as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer.

Following his release from active duty in 1988 he began working in the real estate industry for The Lawson Companies. He began his career as an assistant superintendent on the construction of a three hundred and fifty unit apartment community. Following the completion of the community, he became a staff analyst whose responsibilities included analyzing market conditions and conducting absorption rate estimates for the development of an industrial park in Richmond, Virginia. He then became involved in the estimating and pro forma development for two large residential properties in downtown Norfolk. Later he served as a Commercial Loan Officer for Essex Commercial Mortgage Corporation, a subsidiary of The Lawson Companies. He then settled into the position of property manager. In this role he was responsible for the development of an extensive system of monitoring tax credit compliance as well as the development of computer programs designed to assist in this monitoring. He also held other duties including 401K coordinator, HUD occupancy specialist, and LIHPRHA coordinator. He continued in this position until his promotion to President of Lawson Asset Management, Inc. in 1994. During his tenure in this position he was responsible for the development of long term capital improvement programs, replacement reserve analyses, and overall funding of all capital improvements of the properties in their portfolio. He remained in that role until December of 1995 when he left the Lawson Companies to start Crestline Realty Corporation.

Mr. Sullivan holds a Broker's License in the State of Virginia and earned the professional designation as a Certified Property Manager (CPM), from the Instistute of Real Estate Management. He is a member of the local chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is active in local civic groups and supports all aspects of the Tidewater Multi-family Housing Council.
