Jeff Ainslie



Vice-President of Crestline Realty Corporation, Jeffrey W. Ainslie is a 1983 graduate of the Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He majored in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing and Economics. He also attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a 1994 graduate of Leadership Hampton Roads.

He began his career in the building business as a laborer and punch-out man for the Dragas Companies in Virginia Beach, VA. In June of 1981, he was recruited by R.G. Moore Building Corporation, a large local homebuilder, as an estimator and purchasing agent with extensive responsibilities in the design, selection, pricing and location of selected units in various new subdivisions. In June of 1982, he was promoted to Assistant Vice-President and was responsible for the estimating, cost control, and sales & marketing information provided to various lending institutions to obtain financing for projects with annual sales over $85,000,000.

In August of 1984 he left R. G. Moore to start Benchmark Building Corporation and has since designed, built and marketed over 1000 residential custom single family homes, townhomes, multi-family apartments with a total estimated value of over $100,000,000. In April of 1988 Mr. Ainslie also started the Artisan Building Group, Ltd., a company specializing in intricate commercial buildings such as banks, churches and country clubs. This small, but efficient company built over $5,000,000 of light to medium commercial projects in its first year. In June of 1999, his company merged with another to form Ainslie-Widener. As President of this company, he is responsible for a building company with sales of over $25,000,000 annually. He has developed and implemented various software packages to perform complete detailed job estimating, sales tracking, loan and draw, bill of materials, project scheduling, detailed specifications, and cost analysis reporting.

Mr. Ainslie holds a Class A Contractors license in Virginia and was appointed by the Governor to the State Building Code Technical Review Board for the Department of Housing & Community Development. He is a past President of the Tidewater Builders Association, is on the board of directors for the Home Builders Association of Virginia and is a Director of the National Association of Home Builders. He serves as Chairman of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Board and is on the Board for the Bank of Tidewater. He is also the President of Big Brothers/Big Sisters Foundation of South Hampton Roads and is active with Special Olympics and The American Cancer Society.
